Software Licensing Policy

The Software Licensing Policy defines the general mechanisms for creating, verifying, using, and managing Vietnam Office Licenses/Entitlements.

Usage rights are determined by Product Entitlement + Version Entitlement + Platform Entitlement + valid License/Entitlement + Quantity + Device/Store conditions.

• Installation does not create rights — Downloading or installing the software does not automatically create a License/Entitlement.
• Activation — Desktop must complete License/Entitlement verification and Device Binding before a valid usage state is established.
• Mobile — Android uses Google Play Store Entitlement; iOS/iPadOS uses Apple App Store Entitlement together with Vietnam Office Entitlement.
• Reinstall — Reinstalling on an eligible Platform/device does not create an additional License or Quantity.
• Restore — Restoring rights only re-verifies an existing Entitlement and does not create a new right.
• Device Replacement/Transfer — For Desktop, moving a License to a new device must follow Device Transfer policy and does not automatically increase Quantity.
• Update — A new Release within the same Version Entitlement is handled under the Update Policy.
• Upgrade — Moving to a new Version outside the current Version Entitlement requires Upgrade Entitlement or a new Version Entitlement.
• No automatic Multi-Platform entitlement — Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS/iPadOS Licenses are managed separately and do not automatically convert into one another.

The Vietnam Office backend is authoritative for License/Entitlement status, Quantity, Device Binding, Update/Upgrade rights, Suspension, and Revocation.
