Release Notes

• Version — Each release is identified by an official Vietnam Office Version. The Version identifies the applicable product release, feature scope, compatibility, and Version Entitlement.
• Release Date — Specifies the date on which the official release entered PUBLISHED status and became eligible for distribution to users under the Vietnam Office Release process.
• Platform — Release Notes identify the platforms applicable to the release: Windows, macOS, Android, and/or iOS/iPadOS. A change may apply to all platforms or only to a specific platform.
• Affected Applications — Each change may be identified as applying to Văn Bản — Vietnam Office, Bảng Tính — Vietnam Office, Trình Chiếu — Vietnam Office, or shared components of the Vietnam Office suite.
• New Features — Lists new functionality introduced in the release, including the applicable application, platform, and relevant usage conditions where required.
• Improvements — Lists enhancements to existing functionality, including user experience, performance, stability, document processing, compatibility, interface behavior, or product workflows.
• Fixed Issues — Lists issues resolved in the release. Entries may identify the affected application, feature, or platform and the resulting corrected behavior.
• Security Update — Lists security-related changes included in the release, including patches, protection enhancements, or other changes required to maintain product security.
• Known Issues — Lists identified issues that have not been fully resolved at the time of release. Where appropriate, Vietnam Office provides the affected scope, conditions under which the issue may occur, and available workarounds or usage recommendations.
• Compatibility — Release Notes may identify changes to compatibility with DOCX, XLSX, XLS, CSV, ODS, PPTX, and other formats within the supported scope of Vietnam Office.
• System Requirements — If a release changes requirements for operating systems, CPU architecture, memory, storage, devices, or system components, the Release Notes will reference the applicable System Requirements for that version.
• Licensing & Activation — Where a release includes changes affecting License, Activation, Device Binding, Version Entitlement, Store Entitlement, Reinstall, or Restore, relevant information is published in the Release Notes or applicable licensing documentation.
• Update Information — Release Notes provide information required to evaluate an update, including the new Version, applicable platforms, significant changes, and any relevant pre- or post-installation considerations.
• Breaking Changes — If a change may significantly affect existing behavior, compatibility, usage workflows, or deployment environments, it is clearly identified so users and organizations can assess it before updating.
• Desktop Release Notes — For Windows and macOS, Release Notes describe changes to the applicable Vietnam Office Desktop release. Content may differ between Windows and macOS due to platform-specific technical characteristics.
• Mobile Release Notes — For Android and iOS/iPadOS, release information may be published by Vietnam Office and may also be presented through Google Play or the Apple App Store according to each Store's distribution mechanism.
• Release Status — Only Vietnam Office releases that have been approved and placed in PUBLISHED status are considered official user releases. Internal builds, Release Candidates, or unapproved artifacts are not official versions for installation or distribution.
• Release Integrity — Official releases are managed according to their Version and approved artifacts under the Release process. Users should download and update Vietnam Office only through the Download Center or the official Store for the applicable platform.
• Update Importance — A release may be identified as a regular update, bug-fix release, security update, or release containing significant changes. Users should prioritize Security Updates according to published recommendations.
• Known Issues do not affect every device — A Known Issue may occur only on a particular platform, configuration, file format, or usage scenario. The affected scope is described for each issue where it can be determined.
• Issue ID — Where applicable, fixed issues or Known Issues may include a reference identifier to support lookup, technical support, and tracking across releases.
• Version History — Release Notes are maintained by Version and Release Date so users can review the Vietnam Office change history. Previous releases are retained in the version history where they remain within the published scope.
• Release Note structure — Version → Release Date → Platform → Affected Applications → New Features → Improvements → Fixed Issues → Security Update → Known Issues → Compatibility/System Requirements → Update Notes.
• Release header template — Version: [Version] · Release Date: [DD/MM/YYYY] · Platform: [Windows/macOS/Android/iOS/iPadOS] · Release Status: PUBLISHED.
• New Features — [Feature Name]: brief description of the new functionality and the applicable application and platform.
• Improvements — [Improvement Name]: brief description of functionality optimized or improved from the previous release.
• Fixed Issues — [Issue ID/Issue Name]: brief description of the resolved issue and affected scope.
• Security Update — [Security Reference]: description of the security update scope and recommended user action where applicable. Details that could increase exploitation risk will be disclosed only to the extent appropriate under the Vietnam Office security policy.
• Known Issues — [Issue ID/Issue Name]: description of the issue, affected scope, available workaround, and resolution status.
• Before updating — Users should review the new release's Release Notes, System Requirements, Version Entitlement, and Compatibility, particularly for enterprise devices or business-critical documents.
• Official information source — Release Notes are published on the Vietnam Office website and associated with the applicable release in the Download Center. For Mobile, Store distribution information may be used together with the official Vietnam Office Release Notes.

Release Notes are the official reference for changes in each Vietnam Office release. Information is published by Version and Platform, and actual feature availability should be verified against the Release Notes for the specific version in use.
