Vietnam Office Security Overview

Vietnam Office applies a layered security model designed to protect software, accounts, License/Entitlement, devices, Packages, data, and the entire release chain within the Vietnam Office ecosystem.

  • Layered security principle — Security does not rely on a single control. Protection is applied across Product, Runtime, Platform, Release, Package, Licensing, Backend, and operational layers.
  • Software protection — Applications should run only from valid Packages/Releases issued by Vietnam Office for the correct Platform and verified through the applicable mechanism.
  • Account protection — Functions requiring authentication are controlled through the applicable Authentication/Authorization mechanisms; access is determined by assigned roles and scope.
  • License and Entitlement protection — Product, Version, Platform, Quantity, Device Binding, or Store Entitlement are verified before usage rights are confirmed.
  • Activation protection — Activation does not rely solely on local data. The Vietnam Office backend is the authoritative source for License/Entitlement and entitlement status.
  • Package protection — Installers, Packages, and release Artifacts are controlled by Platform, Version, and Release; only approved PUBLISHED Releases are officially distributed.
  • Integrity protection — Vietnam Office uses applicable verification mechanisms to detect Packages/Artifacts that have been altered, are invalid, or are not official releases.
  • Runtime protection — Applications and Runtime components are permitted to operate only within supported configuration, Package, and entitlement scope; abnormal interference may trigger verification or denial of use.
  • Platform Trust — Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS/iPadOS use different distribution, verification, and trust mechanisms; Vietnam Office applies the appropriate process for each Platform.
  • Data protection — Account, transaction, License, device, Diagnostic, and related data are processed under the Privacy Policy, Data Protection Policy, and applicable requirements.
  • Update protection — Updates use only official Releases for the correct Platform and within the applicable Version Entitlement.
  • Protection against entitlement impersonation — Modification of License data, emulation of Device Identity, interference with Store Entitlement, or bypassing Activation/Verification is prohibited and may cause License/Entitlement denial, Suspension, or Revocation under applicable policy.
  • Security Updates — Vietnam Office may issue Security Updates to address vulnerabilities, risks, or security issues identified in supported Versions/Releases.
  • Least-privilege principle — Components, accounts, and services should receive only the permissions required for their intended functions, reducing potential impact in the event of an incident.
  • Verify-before-trust principle — Vietnam Office does not automatically treat a Package, Device, License, or request as valid merely because it exists; required conditions must be verified.
Overall security principle: correct Package + correct Release + correct Platform + correct License/Entitlement + correct Device/Store + correct access rights + backend verification = trusted usage state.
