License and Device Data
Vietnam Office processes certain technical data required to verify License, Entitlement, Device Trust, Device Binding, or Store Entitlement and to ensure usage rights are applied to the correct Product, Version, Platform, and Quantity.
- License Data — May include License ID/reference, Product, Version Entitlement, Platform Entitlement, Quantity, License status, grant time, Activation status, and information required to manage usage rights.
- Entitlement Data — May include Product Entitlement, Version Entitlement, Platform Entitlement, Upgrade eligibility, Restore eligibility, and related rights.
- Device Data on Desktop — Windows/macOS may process technical attributes required to establish or verify Device Identity/Device Trust and Device Binding.
- No manual Hardware ID entry is required — In the standard Activation flow, users do not manually collect or enter a Hardware ID; device verification is performed through the system mechanism.
- Device Binding Data — The system may retain information required to determine which License is associated with which device, the binding state, and change history needed for Reinstall/Restore/Device Replacement.
- Platform Data — May include Platform, OS family, operating-system Version, architecture, or environmental attributes required to verify Compatibility and Platform Entitlement.
- Application/Release Data — May include Product version, Release version, Package identity, and information required to verify that the application is running an eligible supported Release.
- Android Store Data — Verification information required from Google Play Store Entitlement may be processed to determine valid Android rights.
- iOS/iPadOS Store Data — Verification information required from Apple App Store Entitlement may be processed to determine valid iOS/iPadOS rights.
- Verification purposes — Data is used for Activation, Restore, Device Replacement, Update/Upgrade eligibility, Quantity enforcement, fraud prevention, and License-status verification.
- Device data does not automatically create entitlement — Having a Device Identity does not mean the device has a License. Rights are confirmed only when the corresponding License/Entitlement is also successfully verified.
- Data Minimization — Vietnam Office should process only device attributes required for the disclosed Trust, Licensing, Compatibility, Security, or Support purposes.
- Protection of License Data — License/Entitlement and Device Binding data must be protected against unauthorized modification, impersonation, copying, or access through appropriate controls.
- Signed/verified entitlement information — Where applicable, locally stored entitlement information may be signed or verified to detect unauthorized changes and support Offline use.
- Retention — License and device data is retained for as long as necessary for entitlement management, customer support, fraud prevention, security, dispute handling, or legal obligations.
- Users may not impersonate device data — Users may not modify, emulate, or interfere with Device Identity, Device Binding, Store Entitlement, License data, or system time in order to create or extend unauthorized usage rights.
- The backend is authoritative — Device-side information supports verification and use; the official status of License/Entitlement, Device Binding, Quantity, Suspension/Revocation, and related rights is determined by the Vietnam Office backend together with the applicable Store where relevant.
License & Device Data principle: collect only necessary data → verify Product + Version + Platform + License/Entitlement → verify Device Trust/Store Entitlement → protect entitlement data → use it only for Licensing, Security, and Support purposes.
