Product Security

Vietnam Office Product Security includes controls protecting applications, Runtime, Packages, and execution environments to reduce the risk of software modification, impersonation, execution outside supported scope, or operation in an untrusted state.

  • Application Integrity — Applications are provided through official Packages for the correct Platform and Release. Vietnam Office may verify information required to determine whether the running application belongs to a valid release scope.
  • Runtime Protection — The Runtime is designed to load and use only components within supported configurations and Packages. Invalid or altered components may be rejected or trigger verification.
  • Package Verification — An Installer/Package must match the Platform, Product, Version, and Release. Users should not install Packages from unofficial or unverifiable sources.
  • Artifact Integrity — Release Artifacts are managed by Release and may be verified using appropriate integrity mechanisms to detect changes outside the release process.
  • Platform Security Controls — Vietnam Office uses security and trust mechanisms provided by Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS/iPadOS where appropriate to each Platform's distribution model.
  • Official Distribution Only — Windows/macOS use official release Packages; Android is distributed through Google Play; iOS/iPadOS is distributed through the Apple App Store within the published scope.
  • Release-State Enforcement — Only Releases in PUBLISHED status are eligible for official sale, distribution, installation, Update, Reinstall, or Restore.
  • Environment Validation — Applications may verify Platform, operating-system Version, architecture, system permissions, and other required environmental conditions before or during execution.
  • Permission Control — Vietnam Office requests only system permissions required for the relevant functionality on each Platform. Missing required permissions may prevent certain features from operating.
  • Isolation of user documents and licensing controls — User document data and information used for License/Entitlement purposes are handled for separate purposes; users may not modify License data to change entitlement scope.
  • Tamper Resistance — Vietnam Office may apply checks designed to detect interference with Packages, Runtime, License verification, or protection components.
  • Safe Failure — When a required security or verification component cannot be validated, the system may reject the operation, require re-verification, or restrict functionality rather than permit it by default.
  • Security Updates — Security fixes are delivered through official Releases and should be installed in accordance with the applicable Release Notes or Security Update guidance.
  • Modified Packages are not supported — Packages, Installers, or Runtime components altered outside the official process may not be supported or recognized by Vietnam Office as a valid environment.
Product Security principle: run software only from official sources → verify Package/Release → use the correct Platform and supported environment → protect the Runtime → reject or re-verify when an untrusted state is detected.
