Document Version and Effective Date

Each official Vietnam Office legal document must include information that clearly identifies which version applies and from what time.

  • Version — A unique document version number or identifier used to distinguish releases or revisions.
  • Effective Date — The date from which the document becomes effective for its defined scope.
  • Last Updated — The date on which the document was most recently updated or revised.
  • Status — Document status may include CURRENT, SUPERSEDED, ARCHIVED, or an equivalent state indicating whether the document is current or historical.

The effective document must be clearly identified as the current version.

When a new version becomes effective, the prior version is moved to the appropriate historical status but may remain available for reference regarding earlier transactions.

Vietnam Office may use a stable Document ID or URL to support document traceability across updates.

Document Governance principle: one document → clear Version → clear Effective Date → clear Last Updated date → clear Status → retain history when superseded.
