Diagnostics and Telemetry
Vietnam Office may process certain Diagnostic Data and Telemetry Data to support operation, stability, security, compatibility, and product quality improvement. The actual data scope depends on the applicable Platform, Version, Release, and configuration.
- Diagnostic Data — May include application errors, crashes, failure codes, component status, incident timestamps, Version/Release, Platform, and technical information required to identify the cause of an issue.
- Telemetry Data — Where applicable, Telemetry may record aggregated technical metrics relating to performance, stability, response time, resource usage, features, or functional flows for product-quality assessment.
- Not the same as user document content — Diagnostics/Telemetry do not inherently include the contents of documents created or edited by users. If a support case requires a user to voluntarily provide a sample document, it is handled separately for support purposes.
- Environment Data — May include OS Version, device architecture, Application Version, Package/Release information, feature configuration, and attributes required to reproduce or analyze an issue.
- Performance Data — May include startup time, file open/save time, operation-processing time, crash state, or similar technical metrics.
- Security Data — Certain Diagnostic information may be used to detect security defects, abnormal behavior, invalid Packages, or issues affecting system safety.
- Purposes of processing — Diagnostics/Telemetry are used for Troubleshooting, performance improvement, stability enhancement, Compatibility analysis, defect resolution, Security Updates, and product quality improvement.
- Data minimization — Only data necessary for the applicable Diagnostic/Telemetry purposes is processed under the relevant configuration and policy.
- Configuration controls — Where Vietnam Office provides Diagnostic/Telemetry choices for a Platform or Version, users may manage those settings within supported product capabilities. Data required for security, licensing, or core operation may be processed independently of optional Analytics settings.
- Not used to alter License rights outside policy — Diagnostics/Telemetry do not automatically create additional usage rights or change the granted Product, Version, Platform, or Quantity.
- Retention — Diagnostics/Telemetry are retained for periods appropriate to analysis, security, support, and operational purposes, then deleted, aggregated, or otherwise handled under the applicable Data Retention Policy.
Diagnostics & Telemetry principle: collect minimally → support operation, stability, security, and quality → protect data → control retention → provide transparency according to the applicable Platform/Version.
