Reinstall

Reinstall is the process of installing Vietnam Office again on a device or Platform that was previously entitled. Reinstall does not create a new License/Entitlement or increase the number of granted usage rights.

  • Reinstall conditions — The customer must have a valid License/Entitlement, the correct Product, Version, and Platform, and must use an official Release that is still supported or distributed by Vietnam Office.
  • Reinstall is not a new purchase — If the existing entitlement remains valid, the customer does not need to repurchase Vietnam Office solely because the software was removed, the operating system was reinstalled, or the application needs to be installed again.
  • Windows/macOS Desktop — The customer downloads the official Installer for the correct Platform and Version, reinstalls Vietnam Office, and the system then re-verifies the Product Entitlement, Version Entitlement, Platform Entitlement, License/Entitlement, and Device Binding.
  • Reinstall on the same device — If the system still recognizes the device as the entitled device and the License/Entitlement remains valid, usage rights may be restored without creating an additional Device Binding.
  • Operating system reinstallation — After Windows/macOS is reinstalled or restored, the system may require Device Binding to be re-verified before continued use is permitted.
  • Hardware changes — If Reinstall occurs after significant hardware changes and the previous Device Binding is no longer valid, the system may require additional verification or Device Replacement/Device Transfer under the applicable policy.
  • Android — Reinstall must be performed through Google Play. After reinstallation, Vietnam Office may re-verify Google Play Store Entitlement and the applicable Entitlement before restoring usage rights.
  • iOS/iPadOS — Reinstall must be performed through the Apple App Store. After reinstallation, the system may re-verify the Apple App Store Entitlement and Vietnam Office Entitlement.
  • Reinstall does not change Platform — Reinstalling Windows does not create macOS rights; reinstalling Android does not create iOS/iPadOS rights. Reinstall applies only within the existing Platform Entitlement.
  • Reinstall does not expand Version Entitlement — Customers may reinstall only a Version/Release covered by their Version Entitlement. Possession of an Installer for another Version does not create usage rights to that Version.
  • Use only PUBLISHED Releases — Reinstall must use an official PUBLISHED Release distributed through the applicable Download Center or official Store.
  • User documents — Reinstalling Vietnam Office is not a document-backup mechanism. Customers should back up important data before uninstalling the software, reinstalling the operating system, or making major device changes.
Reinstall principle: valid License/Entitlement → install the correct Product + Version + Platform from an official source → re-verify rights → Restore where eligible → continue use without creating an additional License.
