Activation Guide

• Desktop — Activation principle — Vietnam Office Desktop uses Device-Bound Licensing. During first activation, the system verifies a valid License and Entitlement, establishes the relationship between the usage right and the device, and then provides the licensing information required for the product to operate on the activated device.
• Windows/macOS — Step 1: Purchase the product — Purchase the correct Vietnam Office Desktop — Windows or Vietnam Office Desktop — macOS product through an authorized sales channel. After successful payment, the system records the applicable Order, License, and Version Entitlement.
• Windows/macOS — Step 2: Download and install — Download the correct installer from the official Download Center and complete the Vietnam Office installation on the device where the product will be used.
• Windows/macOS — Step 3: Launch Vietnam Office — Launch Văn Bản — Vietnam Office, Bảng Tính — Vietnam Office, or Trình Chiếu — Vietnam Office. The applications share the Vietnam Office suite entitlement-verification mechanism for the applicable platform.
• Windows/macOS — Step 4: Verify usage rights — Vietnam Office connects to the Licensing system to verify the License, Product, Version, Platform, Entitlement status, and applicable licensing conditions.
• Windows/macOS — Step 5: Establish the device — During first activation, the system establishes a trusted device identity and performs Device Binding in accordance with the licensing policy. Device binding is handled automatically during the standard activation process.
• Windows/macOS — Step 6: Complete activation — Once the License, Entitlement, and device have been successfully verified, Vietnam Office completes activation and enables product use according to the granted rights.
• No Product Key required — The standard Vietnam Office Desktop activation process does not require users to enter a Product Key or Hardware ID. License, Entitlement, and Device Binding are handled electronically by the system.
• Internet connection during activation — The device requires an Internet connection during initial activation so Vietnam Office can communicate with the Licensing service and complete entitlement verification.
• Use after activation — After successful activation, Vietnam Office stores signed licensing information and allows supported offline functionality to operate within the scope of the granted License.
• Offline use — Users do not need to maintain a continuous Internet connection to use supported offline functionality after the device has been successfully activated. Certain operations, including updates, upgrades, restoration, or required verification, may still require Internet connectivity.
• Activation unsuccessful — If the system cannot verify the License, Version Entitlement, Platform, or device status, activation will not be completed. Users should check their Internet connection, purchased product, installed platform, and entitlement status.
• Incorrect platform — A Windows License does not automatically activate the macOS version, and vice versa. Usage rights are determined by the platform of the purchased product.
• Reinstallation — When Vietnam Office is reinstalled on a device, the system re-verifies the License, Entitlement, and device status. Reinstallation does not automatically create an additional usage right.
• Changing devices — Desktop Licenses are managed through Device Binding. To move usage rights to another device, users must follow the Vietnam Office Device Transfer policy. Installing the product on a new device does not automatically transfer the License from the previous device.
• Android — Entitlement verification — Vietnam Office Mobile on Android uses purchase rights verified through Google Play Store Entitlement. The application verifies entitlement information from Google Play and validates it against the Vietnam Office entitlement system before enabling the applicable rights.
• Android — Step 1 — Install Vietnam Office from the official application listing on Google Play.
• Android — Step 2 — Open Vietnam Office on the Android device using the account or Store context associated with the purchase, as supported by the applicable mechanism.
• Android — Step 3 — The application verifies the Store Entitlement with Google Play and the Vietnam Office system. When the entitlement is valid, applicable functionality is enabled according to the purchased product and version.
• Android — Restore entitlement — After reinstalling the application or using another eligible device, users can perform Restore through the Google Play mechanism and the Vietnam Office Entitlement policy.
• iOS/iPadOS — Entitlement verification — Vietnam Office Mobile on iPhone and iPad uses purchase rights verified through Apple App Store Entitlement. Store rights are checked and validated against the Vietnam Office entitlement system before the applicable usage rights are applied.
• iOS/iPadOS — Step 1 — Install Vietnam Office from the official application listing on the Apple App Store.
• iOS/iPadOS — Step 2 — Open Vietnam Office on the iPhone or iPad using the App Store environment associated with the purchase or granted entitlement.
• iOS/iPadOS — Step 3 — Vietnam Office verifies the App Store Entitlement and validates it against the Vietnam Office entitlement system. Once verification succeeds, the applicable usage rights are enabled.
• iOS/iPadOS — Restore entitlement — When reinstalling or re-verifying a previous purchase, users can use the Restore function in accordance with the Apple App Store mechanism and Vietnam Office policy.
• Mobile does not use the Desktop Device-Bound License — Licensing on Android and iOS/iPadOS is based on the applicable platform's Store Entitlement. This mechanism is separate from the Device Binding model used by Vietnam Office Desktop.
• Usage rights do not automatically transfer across platforms — Purchase rights for Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS/iPadOS are determined separately. Activation or entitlement ownership on one platform does not automatically grant rights on another platform.
• Activation and Version Entitlement — Activating a device does not automatically grant rights to every future Vietnam Office version. Eligibility to install, update, or upgrade to another version is determined by the applicable Version Entitlement and upgrade policy.
• Protection of usage rights — Licenses, Entitlements, Device Binding, and Store Entitlements are verified to ensure that the product is used only within valid granted rights. Users may not interfere with, disable, or attempt to bypass Vietnam Office Activation or Licensing mechanisms.
• Activation support — If users have completed payment or hold valid usage rights but cannot activate or restore their entitlement, they may contact the Vietnam Office Support Center and provide Order, Platform, Version, and error-status information for investigation. Passwords or secret authentication credentials should never be provided to support personnel.

Successful activation confirms the right to use Vietnam Office for the applicable Product, Version, and Platform according to the granted Entitlement. Downloading or installing the software does not itself create usage rights and does not replace License or Store Entitlement verification.
