License Activation

• Purpose of Activation — To confirm that the software is being used for the correct Product, Version, Platform, and within the granted entitlement scope.
• Desktop Activation — On Windows/macOS, Activation verifies the License/Entitlement and establishes Device Binding through Device-Bound Licensing.
• Mobile verification — On Android/iOS/iPadOS, rights are verified through Store Entitlement together with Vietnam Office Entitlement rather than the Desktop Device-Bound Licensing mechanism.
• Activation conditions — The system verifies at minimum the Product Entitlement, Version Entitlement, Platform Entitlement, License/Entitlement status, Quantity, and applicable Device/Store conditions.
• Initial Desktop Activation — Open Vietnam Office → submit verification request → backend verifies entitlement → verify device → Device Binding → establish valid Activation state → application operates under the License.
• No Product Key entry in the standard flow — Vietnam Office Desktop performs electronic Activation; users do not manually enter a Product Key or Hardware ID.
• Internet connection — Initial Activation requires an appropriate Internet connection so the system can verify rights and establish the required state.
• Valid Activation — Product, Version, and Platform match; the License/Entitlement is in an eligible state; Quantity has not been exceeded; and applicable Device/Store conditions are satisfied.
• Activation incomplete — Verification has not completed or an outstanding condition remains. The software may require reconnection or completion of verification before rights are confirmed.
• Activation invalid — This may occur when the Product/Version/Platform does not match, the License is invalid, rights are suspended/revoked, Quantity is exceeded, or Device/Store conditions are not satisfied.
• Activation does not create additional Licenses — Activation, repeated Activation attempts, Reinstall, or Restore do not increase the number of purchased rights.
• Backend is authoritative — Final Activation status is determined from authoritative Vietnam Office License/Entitlement data and the applicable Device/Store information.

Activation principle: valid entitlement → verify Product + Version + Platform + License/Entitlement + Quantity → verify Device/Store → establish Activation state → permit use within the granted scope.
