Scope of Usage Rights

• Usage rights are tied to the purchased product — Customers may use Vietnam Office only under the Product/SKU for which rights have been granted. Usage rights do not automatically extend to other products, commercial packages, or rights outside the purchased scope.
• Vietnam Office is licensed as a complete suite — Vietnam Office usage rights include Văn Bản — Vietnam Office, Bảng Tính — Vietnam Office, and Trình Chiếu — Vietnam Office for the licensed Platform and Version. Customers may not separate individual application rights for independent transfer or distribution.
• Platform-specific usage rights — A License/Entitlement is valid only for the purchased Platform. Windows rights do not automatically apply to macOS, Android, or iOS/iPadOS; rights on one Platform do not automatically create rights on another Platform.
• Version-specific usage rights — Customers may use only Versions covered by the granted Version Entitlement. Ownership of one Version does not automatically include every future Version or product generation.
• Installation rights — Customers may download and install an official Vietnam Office release that matches the licensed Product, Version, and Platform. Only releases in PUBLISHED status and distributed through official sources are within the supported installation scope.
• Activation rights — Customers may activate the software within the quantity and conditions granted by the License/Entitlement. Activation may not be used to create additional devices, rights, or quantities beyond the purchased commercial scope.
• Desktop — Windows and macOS — Desktop usage rights are applied through Device-Bound Licensing. After valid Activation, the License/Entitlement is associated with the device under the Vietnam Office licensing policy.
• Mobile — Android and iOS/iPadOS — Mobile usage rights are verified through Store Entitlement from Google Play or the Apple App Store together with the Vietnam Office entitlement system.
• Number of devices/usage rights — Customers may use Vietnam Office only within the number of Licenses, devices, or Entitlements granted under the order, contract, or product policy.
• A License may not be used beyond the permitted quantity — Reinstalling, restoring, changing accounts, or repeating Activation does not increase the number of granted usage rights.
• Individual usage rights — For products intended for individual customers, the purchaser may use Vietnam Office according to the Platform, Version, device, and conditions defined for the applicable License.
• Organization/enterprise usage rights — For organizations, enterprises, or large-scale deployments, usage rights are managed according to the granted quantity, Platform, Version, and deployment scope defined by the order, contract, or project.
• Project usage rights — Project License/Entitlement may be used only within the approved project, quantity, Platform, Version, and deployment conditions. Project quantities or rights may not be independently transferred to another scope unless permitted.
• Online and Offline usage rights — After valid Desktop Activation, customers may use supported Offline functionality within the License scope. Certain activities such as initial Activation, Updates, Restore, or entitlement verification may require an Internet connection.
• Rights to create and process documents — Customers may use Vietnam Office to create, open, edit, save, print, and export documents within the supported functionality of the applicable Version and Platform.
• Rights to use supported file formats — Customers may work with file formats within the Compatibility scope published for the applicable Vietnam Office Version. Support levels may differ by format, feature, and Platform.
• Update rights — Customers may install Updates covered by the applicable Version Entitlement and Release policy. Update rights do not mean entitlement to Upgrade to every new Version.
• Upgrade rights — If a new Version falls outside the current Version Entitlement, the customer may use it only after obtaining a valid Upgrade right or new Entitlement.
• Reinstall rights — Customers with a valid License/Entitlement may reinstall Vietnam Office under the applicable policy. Reinstall does not create an additional License or change the granted scope of usage rights.
• Restore rights — Customers may restore previously granted usage rights when the License/Entitlement remains valid and the applicable Device Binding or Store Entitlement verification requirements are satisfied.
• Device transfer rights — Moving Desktop usage rights to another device is permitted only under the Vietnam Office Device Transfer policy. Installing the software on a new device does not automatically transfer the License from the previous device.
• No self-transfer between platforms — Device Transfer applies only within the scope permitted by policy and must not be interpreted as a right to convert a Windows License into macOS or a Desktop right into Mobile.
• No unauthorized sharing or duplication of usage rights — Customers may not share, duplicate, copy, resell, or provide License/Entitlement access to another party outside the scope permitted by the applicable product terms or contract.
• Activation controls may not be bypassed — Customers may not disable, circumvent, emulate, modify, or interfere with License verification, Activation, Device Binding, Store Entitlement, or other Vietnam Office usage-right controls.
• Licensing controls may not be removed through modification — Customers may not modify the software, installer, system files, or configuration in order to remove or alter licensing mechanisms, entitlement verification, or technical protection measures.
• Unauthorized redistribution of installers is prohibited — Downloading Vietnam Office does not create a right to redistribute its Installer, Package, or Artifact. Only channels, partners, or mechanisms authorized by Vietnam Office may distribute the software.
• No resale without distribution rights — An end customer does not automatically become a Dealer or distributor by purchasing the product. Resale rights apply only to partners approved by Vietnam Office under the applicable program or contract.
• No License transfer unless permitted — A License/Entitlement may not be transferred to another individual, organization, or legal entity unless expressly permitted by the applicable licensing terms, contract, or Vietnam Office policy.
• Usage rights do not constitute ownership of the software — Purchasing a License/Entitlement grants the customer the right to use Vietnam Office under the applicable conditions; it does not transfer ownership of source code, technology, trademarks, or Vietnam Office intellectual property.
• Customer ownership of documents — Using Vietnam Office to create or edit documents does not alter the customer's lawful ownership of their content, unless otherwise provided under an agreement applicable to specific content or services.
• Usage rights depend on License/Entitlement status — Rights may not be activated or restored if the License/Entitlement is invalid, suspended, revoked, exceeds the permitted quantity, or no longer meets the applicable usage conditions.
• Violation of licensing conditions — Use outside the granted Product, Version, Platform, quantity, or licensing conditions may result in Activation being denied or rights being suspended or revoked under the applicable terms and policies.
• Basis for determining usage scope — The specific scope of usage rights is determined by the purchased SKU/Product, Order or contract, Product Entitlement, Version Entitlement, Platform Entitlement, quantity, License status, and applicable licensing terms.
• If there is a difference between this overview and legal terms — The applicable EULA, Software Licensing Policy, transaction terms, or contract are the authoritative basis for determining the customer's rights and obligations.

Summary of usage rights: Purchase the applicable Product → receive a License/Entitlement → use the permitted Version → on the permitted Platform → within the granted quantity → under the applicable Activation/Device/Store conditions → use Updates, Reinstall, and Restore within the entitlement scope → do not copy, transfer, redistribute, or bypass licensing controls unless expressly permitted.
